ENGLISH STORY-TELLING COMPETITION
Std- I, II, III & IV   ...Latest at KWS

Storytelling describes the social and cultural activity of sharing stories, sometimes with improvisationtheatrics, or embellishment. Every culture has its own stories or narratives, which are shared as a means of entertainment, education, cultural preservation or instilling moral values. Crucial elements of stories and storytelling include plotcharacters and narrative point of view. The term "storytelling" can refer in a narrow sense specifically to oral storytelling and also in a looser sense to techniques used in other media to unfold or disclose the narrative of a story.


There will be an English Story-Telling competition on 30.04.2018 for Std- I, II, III & IV.

Those interested can give their names to their respective class teachers.

        An Essay can be defined as "a prose composition with a focused subject of discussion". An essay is, generally, a piece of writing that gives the author's own argument.

        There will be an Essay writing competition on 26.04.2018 & the timing is 9.50am-10.50am.
        The topic is :
        Std- III-IV :- "Vishuva Sankranti"
        Std- V-VIII :- "Constitution of India"

        Those who want to participate can give their names to their respective class teachers.

          VERSIFICATION (STD- V, VI, VII & VIII)
          Topic - "SPRING"   ...Latest at KWS

          Versification can be defined as :

          • the art of making verses,  
          • the theory of the phonetic structure of verse,  
          • the rendition of a prose work into verse, especially of classical works during the Middle Ages, 
          the subdivision of the books of the Bible into "verses".     Our KWS leaders participated in a disciplined way & coordinated with the teachers. The winners will be announced soon.

            The Bhagavad is not a holy book that belongs to any one individual, caste, group, school, sect, nation or time. It is rather a scripture in the entire world and for all times. It is for all, for every nation, for every race, and for every man and woman, whatever be their spiritual level and capacity. Our KWS leaders happily participated in Gita chanting competition & hymn every shlokas with great delight. The followings are the names of the KWS leaders who won the competition:

              Mother's Music Competition

              Mother is the most wonderful & beautiful woman which God had created. Life began with waking up and Loving your Mother. 
              Mothers and their children are in a category all their own. There’s no bond so strong in the entire world. "No love so instantaneous and forgiving."
              The role of a mother is confined to some extent to being a mother and wife, with women being expected to dedicate most of their energy to these roles, and to spend most of their time taking care of the home.

              So, our school Principal decided to conduct a Mother's Music Competition in our school which was held on 21.04.2018 (Saturday) to encourage or inspire the mothers our students.
              The winner is : Shilpa Parida ( Mother of Student- Vaishnavi Parida of Std- II A)

                  Krishnamurty World School celebrates 1230th birth anniversary of Adi Shankaracharya, who is the patron saint of the school. On this auspicious occasion Krishnamurty World School hosted a talk-show on “Save Girl Child”. The main objective of the show was to spread awareness of the safety of the girls in present scenario. On this day we have given special prizes and certificates to eight students holding high values.

                    Krishnamurty World School celebrates 1230th birth anniversary of Adi Shankaracharya, who is the patron saint of the school. On this auspicious occasion Krishnamurty World School hosted a talk-show on “Save Girl Child”. The main objective of the show was to spread awareness of the safety of the girls in present scenario.

                    Post welcoming of the guest program started with the welcome speech of Principal Mrs. Asha T.R. of KWS. Chief Guest of the event was Dr. Prashant Ku. Pradhan- Retired IAS Officer. Other guests were Mrs. Manish Mishra- Asst. Prof. (CV Raman College), Mrs. Milan Dash- Legal Counselor (Women’s & Child Right), and Writer and Director of Children movie named “Sapana Tei – A Dream”.

                    They have shared their views on the safety of the girls and dangers related to them which is disturbing our society. There was a discussion in which parents and students interacted with the guests.

                    Program got concluded after the discussion by vote of thanks by Mrs. Tanushree Mallick- Asst. teacher, Krishnamurty World School.

                          Save Girl Save Humanity

                          KWS conducted an awareness program to save girl child and save humanity. Students and staff have presented their thoughts on the stage.
                            Avantika IUEF Award to Krishnamurty World School received by Principal Mrs. Asha T.R. The Award is presented by Avantika Chariman Dr. Anand Agarwal, IUEF Chairman Jayanti Choudhary and CBSE official Mr. Sunil Kumar.

                                  Investiture Ceremony

                                  Krishnamurty World School has celebrated its 3rd investiture ceremony fir the session 2018-19 in the school premises with a lot of zeal and zest. The event was presided over by the President of the Student Council, Harpriya Rout.

                                  The event was graced by the benign presence of the honorable Chief Guest Ms. Priyadarshini Jena, Assistant Collector-Judiciary, Cuttack. The school felt honored to have Dr. P.C. Mohanty, Director, St. Xavier’s Group as the Guest of Honor.

                                  The parade inspection was conducted by our honorable Principal Mrs. Asha T.R.

                                  The four mansions i.e. - Achyuta Mansion, Keshava Mansion, Kanhaiya Mansion and Vasudeva Mansion marched with full energy and enthusiasm to live up-to the ideals of their respective mansions.

                                  The newly elected school council were conferred with the badges followed by the oath taking ceremony.

                                  The Chief Guest Ms. Priyadarshini Jena addressed the children and inspired the students with her inspiring speech. She reminded the parents that it is their presence and not presents that can bring out the best in their children.

                                  Honorable Director motivated the students by quoting Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam that if you want to shine like a Sun one has to burn like the Sun. Honorable Principal Mrs. Asha T.R. told students that just like drones and workers in a beehive work together for the queen to produce the sweet honey, similarly the students should work together under the supervision of the council to fetch better results.

                                  The speech was followed by a beautiful oath song by the talented students of KWS. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice-president of the school council, Sai Shusha Kayak. He on behalf of the school extended his gratitude to everybody who contributed to making the event successful one. The event reminded each presents, with the sense of loyalty, truthfulness, and honors in high esteem.
